WELL WORTH THE SOAKING
Last week we posted about Lee Bell’s trip to the big fish venue that is Holme Fen. Well we just couldn’t wait any longer to show you the end result of what proved to be a difficult trip with a fairytale ending.
Having moved twice, Lee finally put himself on fish, with three carp take from three bites, all over which beat his personal best at the time. The final carp was this huge 56.3lbs mirror which Lee took one hell of a soaking for, and we all believe here at RG it was thoroughly deserved after a fantastic piece of angling. Funny us carp anglers and the way we celebrate success by pouring buckets full of cold water over each other!
Lee tamed the beast by using a handful of ‘The Formula + Arctic Crab’ 12mm stabilised boilie and fishing a trimmed down ‘Seven Till Eleven’ popup amongst his free offerings.
