HOMETOWN BIG’EN
After fishing up and down the country since lockdown travel restrictions were lifted, Simon Whittle decided to drop on his hometown venue on his way back home after a week down in Oxfordshire.
It certainly was the right call as that evening Si did battle with the big common that resides in the lake. A fish of 35.10lbs and the first thirty he has had from his local venue, a fifteen year haunt one could say!
Si used his favoured ‘Vita-lac’ boilie that had been smothered in matching liquid food and ‘Bloodworm & Daphnia’ liquid extract to get the all important bite.
